Intercom and intercom systems

The intercom system can be defined as an intercom used for voice communication in workplaces and apartments.

Intercoms

The intercom operates mainly through industrial intercoms connected to a central system. When the button on the speaking box is pressed, it switches to speaking mode, and when the button is released, it switches to listening mode. In other words, one-way communication is established between users. After the conversation ends, the intercom will automatically turn off.

The models of intercoms can vary depending on the usage location (workplace, apartment, taxi station, etc.) and needs. The main functions of apartment intercoms are inter-apartment calls and calling the doorman, but more advanced intercoms may also have features like automatic door control, fire alarm, and video communication.
