A system to notify and manage the evacuation of people
Evacuation Warning and Control System (EWCS) — a set of organizational measures and technical tools designed to provide people with timely information about the emergence of fire and necessary evacuation routes
System types
By type of management
Evacuation Warning and Control Systems (EWCS) can have automatic or semi-automatic control, and depending on the notification method, the building's division into zones, purpose, area, floors of buildings, and other features, five types of systems can be provided.
By type of warning
Warning systems can range from the simplest (sirens, colored signals, flashing light indicators, "Exit" light warnings) to more complex technical systems: voice alerts, division of the building into fire alarm zones, the possibility of applying various options to organize evacuation from each warning zone, and other functionalities.
Purpose of the system
Information transmission
Warning systems transmit information about dangerous or emergency situations to all employees currently present on-site in industrial facilities, administrative buildings, and office buildings.
Signal transmission
Throughout the facility, a signal is transmitted to all production, administrative buildings, and zones in potential danger areas, indicating the emergence of a hazardous situation.
Broadcast
In regular operational mode, the warning systems in the organization can be used to broadcast music programs, announcements, and various types of information.
